i like it alot. not as color vibrant as the RGB but it's good enough.

Dell= crap + junk

The rep told me they were short of parts, however, i asked some ppl, they got their system already even they have exact same config as mine .but they ordered about 1 monther later than i did

They only care who paid more and they shipped system to them much much faster

So if u want ur system deliever early, just pay 2000+. I can tell u ur system will be delievered before most ppl .

In which category of outlet you got this deal ?
Looking at the price seems under Scratch & Dent section of outlet.
If you will put an order now with your config it will be of approx $1800+

 

It was ordered on october 15th,2008 delivered on the 19th, I have used the 15% outlet coupon of course at the time. I think it was cheaper because it does not have the leather addon.

I would not have been against paying $100 more for the t9600 and the bluray if I was lucky enough to find one and I did look forever before pulling the trigger at the time...

Has anyone had any experience from buying a laptop through the Dell outlet, Scratch and Dent? Problems? Very considerable scratches?
I am not worried with the ones which are "certified refurbished" or "previously order new".
Because of the price I am considering on buying a scratch and dent laptop, but I just wanted to know if anyone had any bad experienced. thx

I was like you and a friend did order a scratch and dent and received what many would have considered a brand new laptop. I did share the same experience so now i have no issue ordering a scratch and dent.

 

Scratch & Dent category laptops has been used by user earlier and then sent back to Dell with minor defects (claimed by Dell). But I think its a luck game.

 

Well, the rig in the sig (but switch 6GB to 4GB, 7 Ult to Vista Home Prem, and SSD to 500GB HDD) cost around $1950 after shipping.

All the switching: Dell can be nice at times, lol. Now, every time I call, the managers always want to speak with me.

Reading this thread I feel ripped off Sure, I have an SSD, and I paid in Canadian dollars, but still, it was over 2k for me

 

£1500 just about. I'm pretty happy with that investment so far seeing as I got the best components available (CPU + blu ray + RGBLED) IMO!
