I am an owner of the ThinkPad T61 (7663A21).

Recently, I read an article from the HWM magazine (Oct 07 issue) which gave the Dell XPS M1330 a rating score of 9.5 out of 10.

So what do you, owners of Dell, think ?

    Ummmmmm...ya.

You will get both sides here, probably the negative more than the positive because this where many come with their problems and concerns.

Read this article and feel free to leave a comment at the end to bump it:

I don't have one, but I do like the laptop. My only gripe about it is the price. I think it is a little much for the hardware.

I would choose a Dell over a HP. Although I don't have any experiences with a Dell notebook I do have a Dell desktop and no problems yet. My beef with HP notebooks is fan noise and heat issues. I'm sensitive to fan noise and they are A LOT louder than any Dell notebook my friends have. I have two HP's and know from experience.

I do like my M1330 despite the initial bumps in the road. Dell has 3 yr NBD OnSite service + CompleteCare Accidental Damage protection (+ LoJack) and at better prices than HP. Warranty aside, I would still not buy an HP over Dell because I have not been impressed with the quality of the HPs I've worked on. I have seen many Dells, laptops and desktops, that are still around after well over 5 years.

no delivery issues to speak of, great LED screen, as fast with Vista as it ever was with XP. In fact, a great overall experience with Dell and an impressive notebook/laptop!
