Hello was just wondering what does FHD mean...
Here is an example. 17.3" FHD (1080p) with 2.0MP HD Webcam
Is this screen the same quality as the 3D version? Not interested in the 3d version.

Dell - Help Me Choose: Display
It's a higher resolution display (1920x1080) than the HD+ display (1600x900)
It's not the same as the 3D panel though, but it is brighter than the HD+, has wider viewing angles than the HD+, has a wider color gamut than the HD+, and apparently is an antiglare screen. -
Full High Definition (1920x1080)
As opposed to 1280x720 which is still high definition, but not "full" high definition- and also not 1600x900, which is somewhere in between. -
so iam i loosing something quality wise with the non 3d version disply? Is the quality better or worse or might i not even notice it. I also would prefer a non glare screen.

Unfortunately, it's a glossy screen and not anti glare. I talked to 2 sale reps and a Dell guy on the community forum that stated the high def, non 3d screen was glossy. I informed them about the error on their website. Apparently, they haven't corrected it yet. I'm still hoping they offer an anti glare screen option like they are doing in Australia.

I don't really know anything in particular about the screen differences, I was just answering the question

So the 3D version and the FHD version are both glossy? Iam trying to get the best screen possible on the xps17 without the 3d mess.

720p - HD
900p - HD+
1080p - Full HD
What does FHD mean on the on xps17 display?
