    It used to be over 400 bucks not even a month ago, and now they offer it for only 100 bucks on almost every xps you configure???

    I wish I could find just the drive to swap with my plain ol' dvd drive

    The Blu-Ray COMBO (which doesn't write to BD) has always been a $100 upgrade. The XPS 14 used to have a $400-upgrade Blu-Ray drive/burner.
