Hello everybody, I've been wondering what is the max processor the M1530 motherboard will accept. I've searched these forums but didn't find the answer I was looking for. Mostly I found people asking if it's possible to install a newer processor and how to do it, but nothing on what is the maximum processor the board will accept.

Any ideas? I know that the motherboard with the most updated bios firmware will accept 8 gigs of ram, which is great! but what about the processor?

T9500 is the highest that is officially supported.

The x9000 will work but it has a very high TDP (44W), its expensive and the extra performance is nothing much to shout about compared to the T9500.

    No.

The T9400 is a new 1066MHz FSB CPU, released with the Montevina range.

The M1530 is limited to the old Santa Rosa 667MHz FSB CPUs, namely T8100, T8300, T9300, T9500 and the X9000./
