The battery that came with my L502X was already fully charged. So to store it, i discharged it to around 40%. After few weeks, around 7 weeks of storage, I took it out to use from my laptop bag and i found out that my battery wear level is at 4%, from CPUID Hardware Monitor. I have only used it once or twice.
Is this what you have too?

What's the laptop and battery wear level percentage?
Why is it not 0%? It's a new battery, right?

The wear level is caused by age and count of cycles of the battery.
It's possible, that the laptop/battery was some time in stock, store, ... - so it is normal.
I bought my ntb and battery wear level after two cycles was about 5%. After one year of using it (charge/recharge 100% -> 20% -> 100% five times/week) I have wear level about 14% (original 6-cell MSI Li-Ion battery).

    No stress. :)

Same for me, 4% after 1,5 months of usage with up to 10 times charge/discharge! So i decided to take it out and leave in some place for quite a bit. Check if the situation changes in a month or so!

My battery wear level was 3% 3 days after it arrived at my doorstep. At first I was concerned but after having the battery last me over 6 hours (9 cell)....I no longer felt it was an issue.

It's also possible that the batteries simply aren't made consistently enough to charge to 100% of spec, but the battery circuitry has a single set max value.
