    What to buy M1530 or Studio 15 SE?

    Hi,

    I have been trying to decide on a 15.4 desktop replacement for some time now. I already own an M1330 and I love it, but it has some quality issues. I am trying to decide between M1530 and Studio 15 SE and can't make up my mind. Screen/build quality, keyboard, touchpad, speakers are important. GPU isn't very important to me, I would not game with it. CPU/chipset/old, etc is irrelevant I just want a well built laptop with a great screen,
    I am interested in S15SE only because of the new edge-to-edge screen, but I have not seen any reviews. M1530 is an older model but I love everything about the M1330 except the keyboard (which is barely ok). Also, M1530 uses ALPS touchpad which isn't great but S15 I think uses it as well. Not sure about speaker quality on either.

    What do you think?

    If you don't game, then get the Studio 15. It's not too much bigger than the m1530. It most likely uses the same WLED WXGA+ screen panel as the M1530 too, so it'll have a great screen.

    Not too sure about sound quality, but I doubt the M1530's speakers are going to be much better than the Studio 15's.

    Studio 15 is also cheaper, has newer ports like esata and you won't worry about the GPU dying like on the M1530.
