Hi people, i have some questions about the installation of SP1 on Vista, i hope somebody can clear my mind...

Windows update recently offered me the update to SP1, and i feel like doing it, is there something i need to do or consider before i do such thing? like backup or something?

    Thanks in advance...

i would back u the stuff in case it goes wrong and i believe it wil only let u install sp1 if u don't have the bad drivers.

OK, i think i have the proper drivers installed, if not, the windows update wouldn't offer me the update, obviously...

I read somewhere that backing up my data it's strongly recommended, so i did, but i really don't know if something else it's need to be done, any suggestions? should i do the recovery discs or something?
    i have a DELL XPS m15130

I didn't do anything before I upgraded to SP1. I just installed it and hoped for the best. It went perfectly. I have been running SP1 on my desktop since it was first leaked onto the interwebs and my laptop came with SP1 already installed.

I did not do anything as well. I just got this update ready for install, and I clicked yes, and it went on perfectly fine. I would just backup the data and go ahead with the install.
