Hi, all -
I am a proud XPS m1330 owner, and I was recently offered another by a friend of mine for soopercheep (read, under $500). The reasons why aren't worth going into here, but it's all legit...let's just say I hope the poor guy is happy with his Mac.
The question for the noble folk at Notebook Review is...what would you do with a second m1330?
Thanks,
GRPCV

Recharging the battery while using the other one?

NO. give it to ME!
i don't think u'll need two laptops.... but the price is yummy... any siblings/relatives that would benefit from a laptop/newer system? -
I would resell it at a higher price.
-
put Mac OS X on the second, and have the most powerful macbook ever made:
"oh what's that? even in boot camp you can't run games very well? SUCK ON MY NVIDIA 8400!!"
the power's gone to my head.
i'm sorrry.
(no not really) -

Oh what's that? Sometimes you lose audio after a reboot (if you can that is)?
Oh what's that? Unless you have a Dell truemobile wireless card (Broadcom chipset) the Intel ones does not have working KEXT.
Sounds like a real powerful MacBook ever indeed!!
Next time, know what you're talking about before you make yourself look like a tool. -
Here come the almighty Apple fan boys deriding the thread.
For the OP, ask yourself do you need a second laptop? I suppose you could have one acting as your desktop/home rig and then the other for mobile or around the house. If not I'd either buy it and sell it or help him sell it. I often find myself out numbered by my computers since I tend to impulse buy. -

It's really ironic that you would make such a comment, especially since you yourself use a Mac (or so says your profile). -

XPS 1330: Solid-state drive available, higher specs available PERIOD, LED screen, easy gaming, nice professional look.
Macbook: Slow 5400RPM drive available only (yes I've owned one, yes it's slow IMO), low specs available, screen is so-so, gaming only in WINE or whatever w/ no dedicated graphics, looks plastic-like...
I've owned both, so I'm not a fan boy to either. Just my two cents. I like the MBP but they are too big for my taste. -
The OP should sell the second m1330. There, happy now? I suggested what he should do without saying whether Apple or Dell is better. -
resell sounds like the best option in your case.
-
Reselling sounds like a good plan if you need some extra cash. A gift to someone close to you who needs a good machine is also a good idea. Personally, I think I'd use it to play with different Linux distros - if I could keep it away from my sons. LOL

sell it to me, I need a second small laptop.
-
skills, you managed to start a thread which nearly turned into a mac vs dell war.
I would say sell it to me, but there's only one to go around.
I'm getting a dell, by the way, cos the macbook is way out of my price range. Bad luck, Maccy boys. They do rock though, even if I can't get one.
What would you use second m1330 for?
