Hey guys, I am curious what the temp is for your 1730. I usually get 35c for cpu 70c for gpu not in games; 50c for cpu 80c for gpu in games. It seems alright to me, but I am not sure. Any opinion? BTW, I am using T8300 and always enable 8700gt sli. Thanks! :)

a friend of mine has the m1730 with 8700m-gt's in SLI as well, and he gets max temps of about 50°C and 80°C (for CPU and GPU) while gaming as well, so i think your temps are fine.

Not trying to bring back an old topic, but I have a similar xps m1730 dual 8700 and my temps with rivatuner for gpus show a maximum 96 with sli and physics on. Then the fan would come up and drop to 92-90 after a few hours of hellgate london.
I have the latest bios, and still I'm a bit concerned. I'm using Dox's latest release drivers. I put a cd case beneath my lap, and now it doesn't get over 90... still, should I worry?
PS: even at 96 degrees, my performance is the same, so I assume the bios finds that normal, otherwise if there were a problem, it should have shut the gpus down right?

On the other hand, my single 8700 in my satellite is dead cold, never over 55 degrees. Is xps supposed to be such a firebomb?
