    Hi guys

Been searching threw the website and google to find a decent laptop cooler for my laptop. However i cant seem to find anything which would be correct for the size. Does anyone on here have any recommendations on a good cooler for the M1730?

    Thanks

Thats the one iv been looking at myself. The postion of the fans on the cooler would mean there exactly below the xps vents. Just wondering if any one has any experiance of the system itself with the m1730 :)

I've seen a few posts about about it here on the forum...a few 1730 owners have it I think.. ;)

    A quick search brought this:

I'm sure a few fellow *1730* owners like yourself, will be along with some nice input also! ;)

    hey,

Here is the cooler I have

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834997340

It is mentioned above as well but I actually have it so I thought I would give my two cents being that I also had the antec 200mm fan badboy (didnt like it for the 1730 but think it is a great cooler too) as well.

This cooler is perfect for the mx1730, the fans sit right under neath the vents. The other cool thing is that you can easily customize the fans to blow or suck simply by removing a couple of screws and flipping the fans around or you could swap them out and replace the stock ones with your own 120 mm fans.... im almost positive they are 120mm fans. I know that 1730 runs hot and has alot of heat issues, I advise you dont use one without a cooler and would definetly recommend this one for your rig

The Cryo's the one. The Zalman, nice as it is, has fan placement not in line with the Dell XPS's. Go the Cryo, a nice bit of kit as well :)

I have the Cryo LX for my M1730, its a very smart looking cooler and its made from aluminium, get the black one. A couple of things to note, the fan control switch isn`t that great, it changes the speed when it works, you can move the fan control switch half way and very little happens before sudenly it changes speed but not by a great amount.

I`m on my 3rd one now, the supplier replaced 2 of them because one of them the switch wouldn`t work at all and the 2nd one their was very little change in the speed of the fans.

The Cryo LX comes with 2 USB cables, one is a USB power cable which powers the Cryo LX from USB power and the 2nd USB cable is for the rear USB hub on the back where you get a 4 port USB hub.

Ive had problems with my M1730`s USB ports when using the Cryo LX, this maybe down to a motherboard problem on my laptop as the right hand USB ports have been replaced twice and i still have the same issue. Whats been happening is when i connect the Cryo LX`s USB leads to the right hand ports on my M1730 the right hand ports won`t work after, if i connect the 2 USB leads where one is in the rear port and one in the left hand side port it works fine.

As i say, those problems may be down to my M1730 and not the Cryo LX. A lot of people seem to change the fans in their Cryo LX from what ive read to more powerful and quieter ones.

If you get a good one with no fan control issues then its a very good laptop cooler, its by far the best looking one ive seen and the angle of the cooler is spot on for typing.

I think im going to buy some rubber feet which make the laptop sit up at the back by about 2-3cm's , Cheaper then spending 70 quid to be honest :)
