    Hi guys,

I ordered an Avermedia Tv tuner kit from Waresphere.com - it has finally arrived but I have not fitting instructions. I would be grateful if someone in the know could direct me as to how I might go about fitting the parts and give me an idea of how difficult it might be....

Note they pack included two aerial socket wires due to the fact that this kit was apparently intended for the xps 14 which obviously is of a smaller size, and so I would need to merge the two some for the wire to be long enough.

Here is a picture of the all the parts I received - I most unsure about the flexible metallic plate with the black and grey wires coming from it - there is a thin strip of adhesive on the underside which is not shown in the photo.

im not 100% sure so will let some one else say for sure but i think the thin metal bit and most of the cables have to go inside the monitor housing. the card goes under the keyboard. as for fitting the external areal socket, you may have to dismantle the whole laptop to do it

Hi mknott - I appreciate the reply. I did not realise the metal panel needed to go in the monitor housing... It seems this is going to be a bigger job than I had anticipated.

    Other opinions also welcome :)
