The Costco is a bit of a better built lappy. You have a 90 day return policy, free Win 7 Upgrade (so does BB), Better CPU, backlit,

Do you want to spend a little more money?

Well, I think Costco is your best deal..the CPU for one thing....

I think a few peep's on the forum have..hopefully you can get some more feedback from them on that! From what I've heard it's been alright dealing with Costco. You have 90 days ~ not bad.

Ultimately, the choice is going to be yours in the end, either way!

The best deal is available from Dell, and both those systems don't have the RGBLED (one of the main reasons people get this laptop) or the current-gen gfx board (4670). If you can order from online, do so I would say!

So it does look like costco deal is better. I looked over the specification and it looks like costco gives me the better deal. The only thing it doesnt give is a blu-ray drive and at bestbuy i would have to buy a extra warranty for 300 more comparing to costco 2 yr warranty included, but i hope no new xps is coming out later when i purchase this laptop

I don't think he indicated he wanted to buy from Dell....but it's always an option..!

From the 2 choices you listed whereas you want to purchase from, Costco is, yes.

And, these models just came out there is no refresh coming for a while..so no worries there! :)

    No problem! ;)

No, unfortunately Dell won't do that for you...You would need to buy the part and do it yourself, or order it that way.

You can also, as the OP suggested...look at buying the system from Dell with any valued savings they have right now. Have you thought of this? You can get some good deals thru the Outlet, also! ;) Just a thought.

Make sure your really, really handy if you attempt something like that. It would also cost you a bit to install the screen yourself.

Cin went to bed, but told me to let you know that the costco deal is your best choice all things considered. You get the advantage of Costco's awesome return policy, and the features of Costco's specific configuration like the backlit keyboard, the faster CPU, etc.

The Soundblaster X-Fi Hi Def Audio is software based only, so it's not an actual sound card upgrade, you'd still have integrated audio :)

Also, you might want to see if you can find one with a configuration that you like from the Dell Outlet.
