I'm looking at getting an M1330 from the dell outlet and I had a few questions.

To start off I need BATTERY LIFE

I have a couple of options

1 has a LED screen but a merome processor

1 has a CCFL screen but a penryn processor

Which would give me better battery life?

From what I`ve read, the LED power savings is minimal due to the number of LEDs used (32).

Personally I`d go with the Penryn processor not just for the power savings and greater undervolting potential, but for the expanded instruction set.

I'm not sure what your budget will allow, but the current Dell catalog has an excellent configuration of the XPS M1330 for $1159 ($514 off). The specs are as follows-

    XPS M1330
    Tuxedo Black
    Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit
    2.1GHz Intel T8100 (Penryn)
    LED display
    4GB RAM
    500GB 5400rpm Hard Drive
Intel GMA X3100 graphics ($100 upgrade to the nVIDIA 8400M GS is a must!)
    Dell 1505-N wireless card
    Bluetooth
    2-year Limited Hardware Warranty w/ In-Home Service
15 months of McAfee, Norton or Trend Micro security
    Lo-Jack for Laptops

looking at the local stores like best buy you might be able to get a good deal and what you are looking for for less than $1000.
Another way to save money is to put in the ram yourself.
LED screen, SSD (very optional), penryn.
