The best fit seems to be U8042

Yeah JKleiss, that's just the plastic/metal base of the laptop ;)

    I took the memory/heatsink access panel off and I have a 0PU073.

I'm trying to see if I qualify for the NVIDIA GPU Settlement, but the website says I don't qualify, even though I have a toaster of a laptop that reboots and has lines in the display

I am in the same exact situation. None of my part numbers work on the NVidia Part Check Site, but I've had the motherboard replaced once, and my second motherboard has died after the warranty. I know for a fact I have a NVIDIA Chip because I have an NVIDIA heatsink: Part #: MM911 Just like you.

    What do we do now?

If you try this, please let me know how it goes, and what you've said that you believe got a positive/negative response.... I don't want to mess up my chances of getting this thing repaired!

    Thanks,
    John

I called the # up 1-877-440-7557, and it's just a maze of automated scripts that regurgitate the website

1 U8042 ASSEMBLY..., BASE (ASSEMBLY OR GROUP)..., DISCRETE..., 128M, M1330 This is the reference to your graphics card. The item is an assembly that contains the graphics card, in your case "discrete" referring to the 128 mb graphics card.

When I enter U8042 at the website it validates that your computer does have the affected NVidia graphics card and that you do qualify to have this fixed if the settlement is approved.
