    130W.
If yours is shipped with the 90W, call tech support and ask them for a free replacement; tell them you have throttling issues.

The core i7 is F'in HOT!!!! I am currently waiting for a call this morning about getting rid of mine because it is so gosh dang hot...

I would definitely advise steering clear of the i7.. I mean more power is of course better, but being this is a laptop that I do use on my lap in bed or whatever, the i7 is way to freakin hot for my lap at idle temps.... seriously.

ouch i hear you though. it def needs two fans with that gpu as well.

well im getting a cooler so....

also comparing studio 1747 with core i7 and 4650, i think sxps seems more hot just cause the bottom is full metal. i had both computers, sxps with much worse spec actually, but xps was so much hotter cause that metal was conducting all the heat! which is actually a GOOD THING because you rather have that entire bottom serving as a giant heatsink, then have a plastic who keeps all the heat inside like the studio.

you know what i mean? maybe its GOOD that you are feeling very hot. it is serving to cool your component down in reality

I actually have been pretty happy with the temperatures of my 1645. Maybe it's just because I always run it sitting on a flat surface with no obstructions near it, but the wrist pad and keyboard never get hot to the touch (just a little warm, but my 3 year old Acer also got warm to the touch). I will completely agree that it doesn't not run cool, but because I use this laptop as a desktop replacement, it is a non-issue for me.
