    In the photo which is the 4gb ram stick as i plan to remove the 2gb one and upgrade to another 4gb

    I would guess that the bottom one (with more chips) is the 4GB one.

    if you take the sticks out (which isn't hard), they should have a sticker saying how much ram they contain.
