    Hi
Recently I have been to a Dell store and saw various models there on display. I had never seen SXPS series earlier. But I personally like the exterior build of Studio 15 than SXPS 16
Few observations on SXPS 16 ...

    1. The upper area (holding the webcam) could have more slim (less height), which would ve better look of SXPS
    2. There are huge un-used area on both sides holding tiny speakers, that area could ve used better
    3. Screws on screen on both sides !
    4. Too much glossy exterior
    5. Backlit keyboard and touch sensitive controls are really good
    6. There should be option for full-size keyboard

    Any comments ?

We already own them for the most part, so it doesn't really matter.

I disagree about the top of the screen, that space is required for the webcam. The screws on the right and left side don't bother me either. The glossy exterior is probably the only thing I don't love about the SXPS 16, but I've more or less gotten used to it now. The speaker grills on the right and left of the keyboard aren't really doing anything, but there isn't much else that could be done with the space. The speakers had to go somewhere, and the top of the chassis is dedicated to the battery/media buttons, so they just extended the speaker grills to leave no unused space.

I think a numberpad would really feel cramped on this keyboard. MSI tried fitting a numberpad on their 16 inchers and it resulted in skinny keys and bad typing experience. I love the SXPS 16's keyboard feel- smooth and quiet, but springy and sturdy all at once.

Mine has yet to arrive, but one of the main reasons I chose the SXPS was that it seemed to have good strong hinges, and the hinges have expired on both my previous laptops. I don't mind a screw head showing if it's a good strong casting, and properly attached to both top and bottom!

The Studio XPS series are definitely some of the best looking laptops on the market. That being said, the gloss really isnt all that practical because it will get very dirty from use.
