    Anyone here use their L502x for gaming w/o any issues who can recommend a video driver?

    I primarily play world of warcraft, and although the FPS is fine, the game stutters and then crashes to desktop periodically.

    Occasionally it will make a loud buzzing sound and completely lock up (can't be shut down w/o pulling the battery & power cable).

    I am using the DX11 settings (it crashed even more frequently when using the DX10 settings).

    I've had the buzzing lockup issue in Dragon Age 1 and Mass Effect 2 as well, though less frequently.

    I'm using my laptop on a cooling stand all the time, I don't think it's a heating issue.

    So before I call Dell, is anyone playing these games without similar problems (especially world of warcraft) who can recommend me a specific driver to try?

    Are you on the latest Nvidia driver? 275.33 should be the latest Nvidia 64 bit Windows 7 driver.

    I was using 270.61 which was the latest version last time I checked.

    I just updated to 275.33 and will see how it goes.

    If that doesn't fix it;

    - Test your AC adapter out (I believe L502x ship with a 130 watt adapter, but someone correct me if I'm wrong)

    - Run memtest and make sure your RAM is all good, 2-3 passes and no errors and you should be good

    - Reinstalling OS doesn't help, your GPU could be defective/dying.

    Uninstal nvidia driver completely and install again, that solved alot of problems for me, sometimes my games used to go to a black screen for 5 minutes before the game starts, I did that and everything is okay again.

    +1, but before installing fresh drivers run Driver Sweeper first to completely remove all traces of nvidia drivers. Good luck there! :)
