I used to have an XPS m1530 and was pretty satisfied with the size and performance (gaming and otherwise) it had. It broke so I am getting a new one. Which XPS would be good for me? I used to play Crysis and Mass Effect 2 on the 1530 and it would be great to continue playing those (and Mass Effect 3) .
I'm thinking of the 15z (or something similarly priced).

The XPS 15 or XPS 17 will be a far, far better choice than the 15z.

The XPS 15 is pretty comparable in size to my old m1530 and has one of the best 1080p screens and audio of any laptop @ it's price point. Both the XPS 15 and 17 are more mid-range for gaming but my 15 handles Crysis2, Bioshock2, MW2, The Witcher and a few others very well (I've got ME and ME2 on order... I hope they're good games :) ). The 17 would be better for gaming if you didn't mind the extra mass.

If gaming is a primary use, try to find a L702X with the 555m on the Dell outlet. I got mine for $940 shipped.
