According to this post by an OCZ forum staff member, the Vertex 3 should go on sale late next week. The 120GB and 240GB versions will be available first. They're going to be priced around $250 and $500. The speeds?

I'll be getting a 240GB one on release day if I can. I just hope they are better than the vertex 2's in terms of reliability and bugs. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a firmware update on release day.

    come on its OCZ..

they have fouled us once before..
it wouldnt surprise me if they would do it again.

Some sites already told they got prototype drives and can not tell anything about the new vertex 3 performance with these drives.

They are waiting for the real vertex 3 and not the tuned ones.

Lieing to your customers is something i take very high. Especially when you do it on purpose.

yes, which are send to testers to get out best score.
    not the final product.

OCZ failed for me. I would never buy from a company that screws there clients without telling. using the same name but offering less performance.

It's like buying a porsche with 300bhp.. But it only has 180bhp because porsche went for a cheaper engine.

if you complain they will tell you that it are the same engines.
After a big research someone went back to OCZ.
Now they apoligize but still dont fix the problem.

Yes they replaced 64gb chips for 32gb chips. But still the performance is 20% less then the original vertex.

So be aware that the demo drives could have much better performance then the one in the shops.
