I can't get my new Asus 24" to work with my laptop.
Connected to HDMI.
Am I missing something?

Does it show up in display settings? You might have to enable it.

It was showing up. I've never had more than one monitor, so this is all new to me.
Anyways, after playing with it for a little while longer, I'm up and running. -
Here's my next problem, after my laptop resumes after my screensaver, it goes back into single monitor mode and I have to correct it by Fn + F1.

My original l702x had a bad HDMI port or something. On my TV it would just display "no signal" and on another HDMI monitor the picture was mostly green and very garbled...but the replacement (which has better specs anyway at the same price...) worked fine. Glad yours worked right out.
Multi-monitor is awesome as you will find out. I keep beating my head on the desk at work since I only have one screen there...and have had 2 at home for close to 3 years -
I just wish I could figure out why after I come back and my screen saver goes off, it goes back to a single display on my laptop. -

There is usually a display key on the laptop next to f12 hit that and scroll to extend hit enter ???? Profit

I don't mind doing it when I first power up, but after resuming and after a full screen game? Thats going to get annoying. -
