This doesn't make sense to me. The M1330 has everything I want except for new technology:
small and light (much lighter than the new plasticy studio xps)
attractive design
metal enclosure
thin
etc...
Only the battery life was weak relative to the size of the batteries. Why don't they refresh it with the new tech? With the new chipsets you might be able to squeeze out 6 hours from the six cell on integrated graphics. That would make it the best in its class for battery life in terms of batteries that are flush to the chassis. At which point I would probably buy one.
What gives?

i'm hoping also on an update for the m1330. Imho it's much better looking and styled than the new studio xps 1340.

Jayayess1190 Waiting on Intel Cannonlake
It won't be updated. They must have excess stock of it, otherwise it should be gone by now and replaced by the 1340. -
I am able to get a little over 4 hours with my M1330 with the Nvidia graphics card. So I am sure you could obtain 5 or more hours with integrated.

Exactly...right now they are just trying to sell, sell... it! And, there are some really good deals going on for both the 1330 and 1530
The 1330 is a great notebook...I was perusing purchasing til I saw the 1530..and *fell* for it!

my best guess is...they are creating new XPS line and 1330+1530 will be history. Also, 1330 is now considered "old" and that is why there's no point for dell to develop it any further =)
Why doesn't dell update the M1330?
