After reading many threads on various sites over the past couple of months and trying to self fix this problem, I finally gave up and decided to call dell's cs. I have had bad experiences in the past, which is why i thought i would try to fix the problem on my own then deal with them.

To make a long story short after a couple hours of being told what to do (even though i had already updated drivers etc and everything else imaginable). The csr actually tried to blame it on my router because it was a g, and therefore not compatible with n techonlgey, i almost lost it at that point, but after a while I was finally able to convince the csr that this laptop needs to be sent in for repair.

When i had received the warrenty repair box i had wrote down all the problems with the laptop in detail. Besides the wifi problem, their is a problem with the trackpad not being to scroll and my cursor moving to odd spots when typing emails etc... Sent out the box fingers crossed

The laptop came back. On some sheet dell said the wifi card was replaced and that my hdd for some reason was also. Turn on the laptop hoping for the best..... And still having the same wifi and track pad problems!!! NOTHING FIXED

Steaming and thinking id have to waste a few hours trying to convince a dell csr that i need to send this back, i waited a few hours to call. Luckily the csr didnt hassle me much and agreed to send another prepaid box for warranty

So in closing I have a feeling of dejavu, because im sure the same thing will happen again. So any suggestions on having the computer replaced or just refunded? Thanks would really appreciate the help

If you're that unhappy with it, I'd just get a refund and move on.

If you're still having those issues when you get the machine back, I'd try updating the drivers for wifi, trackpad, and video. You could see if the BIOS needs updating, but I don't think that's the problem.

    Good luck!
