I was going to get XPS 15 last week but with this whole SB coming out soon I think I'm going to wait.

What I want to know will SB cpus be great for emulators like mame/Dolphin/PCSX2 ?

I had a conroe dualcore a E6850 3.0HGz from a few years ago and when I got a Core i5 also a 3.0 GHz last year even though both cpus were both clocked at 3.0GHz, in emulators it whoopped the E6850 by a good margin.

My question do you think a SB cpu will out do the Core i5 by a good margin also ? Many of you might not know alot about emulators but emulators like mame are very much cpu dependent very litte about gpu.

I don't know alot what makes this SB cpu great. But doesn't what makes this cpu better that it can do even more clocks per instruction at still the same GHz ?

P.S. I have a little side question why do so many of you care about getting a laptop with a 1080p screen ? Laptop screens are small why would you want a 1080p screen on a small display ? Now if the colors or contrast were crappy on the 720p screen on a certain model thats one thing. But in genral why would anybody want such a high res on a laptop don't people relize it will take even a stronger gpu. Is it just for the sake to say I got a 1080p laptop ?? I've used my friends 15'' 720p laptop before and the screen res is perfect. By the way I'm new here and I've never had a laptop this one will be my first so please don't flame me. It's ok not to answer this question my question above is more important to me.

    thanks

Apparently this - "Now if the colors or contrast were crappy on the 720p screen on a certain model thats one thing. "

as for the screen, because it's 2010, why should your laptop have the same vertical resolution as your cheap compaq from 10 years ago?
