Try searching for the part number in Dell's support section, to see if they're the same.

EDIT: Dang seconds too slow!! :)

Cheers for the quick replys guys. I already have an XPS 1530 with DVDRW and am looking to purchase a Studio 15 with the DVDRW/bluray combo drive and am hoping to swap the drives over so i can watch bluray on the XPS.

Not having the studio bluray part number I done a little research. It would seem the Studio uses a Optiarc BC-5600S drive which has the same dimensions as the UJ-225.

So fingers crossed it will fit :D

Why not just contact Dell directly and ask 'em? They might be receptive to it considering its two of their machines.

Well after going to the effort of stripping down both a M1530 + Studio 15 I can tell you it wont fit :(

The drive is the same dimensions, it just has a completely different interface.

    Hey ho.

Sorry to hear that you went to all that trouble man. :(

But think of it in a positive light and that it was a learning experience ;)
