    My only concern is this:

For all Apple MacBook Pro 17" and PC Laptop models with hard drive bay(s) that support 12.5mm height drives. Not for MacBook, MacBook Pro 15", or PC models which require 9.5mm max height drive.

What is the max height for a Hard Drive that the M1530 can support?

    It won't fit. Your M1530 uses a 9.5mm.

Yeah, I know it uses a 9.5mm, but am wondering if theres room for the extra height. Just for assurance, can you show me where you see that the M1530 only supports 9.5mm hard drives? Thanks.

Well, I tried looking at the M1530's service manuals and didn't find anything. Best assurance I can give you is if it won't work in the 15.4 MBP's hard drive slot, which is roughly the same thickness as the M1530, it won't work in your M1530. Will that work for you?

Yeah, it doesnt matter anymore since I've already found a different 500GB drive that is only 2.5'' and has 9.5mm height. (In other words, it is 100% compatible with the M1530) If you can, please help me out in this thread:

Yes, it is a matter of preference, but... am very curious to know what the Dell Team and Dell members think.
