    a matte or gloss finish on the screen? And also is this the screen everyone is having the issues with being grainy?

    All the consumer laptops have glossy screens. All the Dell's do at least.

    Glossy screens are more vivid and brighter but also collect dust and fingerprints much more easily. After 3 years of glossy screens, i wouldnt want to go back to using matte screens again.
