    Does the M1530 come with firewire? I haven't actually looked for it on mine, but noticed the Studio 15 I got for my girlfriend has it.

    I've not used it as I don't have a camcorder or anything else that uses it. Can you use a firewire cable with an iPod and would it make synching data a lot faster than USB 2.0?

    I hope you didn't already order that cable based on the probably wrong answers you received. The 4 pin is what the m1530 has so the one end will plug into the laptop but the other end is a 6 pin which is what most desktops have. All 3 of the camcorders I have have a 4 pin connector so if yours is the same you need and 4 pin to 4 pin cable not a 4 pin to 6 pin.
