Have succesfully removed vista and got a near fully functional fantastic laptop with WinXP .. but cant seem to find easily the software / drivers to get this biometric fingerprint reader thingy working....

Could anyone point me in the right direction for download?

    Many thanks

(Just loving the lack of bloatware, vista , unecassary trial software etc. etc. and a laptop running exactly the way I want it!)

I am certainly it will work in XP because I use it in XP - if you can't find the driver under the M133O or M153O at Delll under Win XP, then go to K-Byte's web site and you should see it there.

OK,, the results for anybody who may be interested.

This definitely DOES work in XP.

kbyte responded, yet with an answer to somebody else's question ... so I left that one

Searching on Dell's website for my model only provides Vista drivers and software (and even though this may work, I was after XP confirmed).. yet searching using the model M1330, as suggested by Samuel613, gave a link to R156915.exe which when ran and installed, works perfectly.

    Thank you for your help.

I, too, have a Dell XPSm1530. Wasn't offered with Windows XP Pro, and I didn't like what they were offering WITH XP Pro. Sure would appreciate some guidance on ridding this laptop of Vista Home Premium so that I can load Windows XP Pro and get back to computing. During an online chat, the Dell rep said they don't have any drivers needed for XP, so I am most curious where you located all the needed drivers to get the laptop to function properly under XP. Thanks in advance. :)
