I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate RTM on my m1330. All seem work except express card remote and there is one Base System Driver which is not installed.

Unknown system device was RICOH media driver.
Windows Action Center recogized the problem and offered driver download from Dell website.
Remote control is not working still.

Installed almost all the beta builds and the post RC builds.. And on RTM currently.. Nearly every device worked ootb, without a separate driver required. And for those that didn't, windows downloaded the drivers by itself. Remote control works.

Everything works for me as well. I'm currently running the W7 RTM. Windows detected a few drivers on its own. I downloaded the Vista 64-bit drivers for those that W7 did not detect.

You can use the quickset setup, audio drivers and media card drivers from Studio XPS which has very new drives for Win7 came out this week

OK last time install Win7 with online connection will install every thing to grt your M1330 working. You then only need to install Dell quickset.
Now you can as stated above use Studio XPS 1645 or what ever its call the new one use its audio drivers and media card drivers (SDM, MMC etc) and use its quickset all of which came out I think it was on the 25 Sept 2009. Please read post carefully. Best way to install drives is go into device manager select item to updated and once your downloaded and unzipped your NEW drives you select updated drivers this way you will not get any errors (some get errors running the install exe)
One other thing intel has a new chipset driver
My video drivers are from laptovideo2go Win7 64bit version by the way.. ;)

I've used this driver for a week, but I got too many crashes in Internet Explorer if I was using flash. Don't know why, but I'm back to the old Windows Vista x64 bit drivers :(.

use firefox or opera or chrome

    1) insert DVD
    2) install as per a normal OS
    3) windows update for the rest of the drivers
3b) maybe you need to get an audio drivers
3c) if you want dell crap (quickset, recommended power levels), get it from support.dell.com, Vista stuff works in W7
    4) install your applications
    5) done

the upgrade version should have 64 and 32 bit versions(might be on same DVD, or separate DVDs)... choose the right version to install... that's it...

Yea everything worked straight out of the box. Only needed to install the graphics driver from the nVidia site and touch pad and fingerprint utility
