I've tried every Sigmatel/IDT driver out there and I still get occasional pops. It seems to be a problem with IDT not fully supporting the old Sigmatel drivers or something like that. But this site has lots of drivers for you. The 10.0.6255 are the newest ones that will work on the m1530 unmodified.

BR is there any reason why you are recommending 10.0.6217. I currently have 6.10.0.6255 installed on my M1330 and the audio seems ok.....although I have never had the popping anyway. I note there is now v10.0.6261 too? Shame there are no release notes on these to confirm the enhancements.

Ive downloaded the driver you told me. Then from device manager uninstall the driver that w7 installs. Then run setup.exe as admin and im getting an error that the hardware detected is not compatible....

    What should i do?

If you have gone with my recommendation then go back to the provided link and try an earlier one until you find one that works. It is strange that the 10.0.6255 does not work as it is fine in my 1330, which has the same chipset.
