Dell XPS 15 L502X
I recently installed some driver updates. Since then, Windows Mobility Center generates an error message when it opens:
QuickSet Error
Error found! Submit this issue to QuickSet owner!
![]()
I must dismiss the error three times, after which the "Customized by Dell Inc." items finally appear in the lower half of Windows Mobility Center.

I uninstalled and reinstalled QuickSet, but no change: the error still appear.
Updates I installed, prior to this error appearing:
Renesas USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver
Realtek Ethernet Driver
Intel PROSet/Wireless Bluetooth Software
Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection
JMicron JMB389 Card Reader
Anyone ever seen such errors, or know the cause?

I found the cause.
Intel PROSet/Wireless Bluetooth Software version 3.0.1304 causes errors in the Dell section of Windows Mobility Center.
Intel PROSet/Wireless Bluetooth Software version 2.6.1212 does not cause those errors. It is not as new as 3.0.1304, but it is newer than what I had previously installed.
Still don't know why version 3.0.1304 causes those errors.dan76 likes this. -
Thank you , solved my problem with my XPS L502x .
It also solved a host of other issues like not being able to receive files from a bluetooth device , oddly the mouse controls ( drift, trails, bounce etc have also now returned ). Faster boot too ! -
I've just always removed Quickset completely, permanently. Does it have something not native to Windows that you need?

Old topic but installing quickset makes my laptop freeze requiring a hard reset. Not sure why? This is on Windows 8.1
