I had this happen once too. So I pulled the battery out, and just before it started its next reboot, I pulled the plug...Put the battery back in, plugged it back in, no more trouble. Hasn't happened again (been months now). But not a cool thing to need to do...

I have a similar problem but with hibernation. When I hibernate my 15z if it's plugged in it just shuts down then tries resuming. I have to shut it down while booting to get it to stay off I have to press the power button.

I normally don't do it , unless I really have problems (like you do).

Have you tried to clean and fix the registry errors with a powerful cleaner?

Sounds like BSOD with auto reboot enabled. Will it boot/shutdown in safe mode?
