When the computer wakes from sleep, wireless is no longer connected. It shows as connected in the Windows wireless connection list available in the notification area, but there is actually no network connection.

The only option is to right click the and disconnect the wireless adapter in the list (even though it shows as connected), wait for it to disconnect, then right click and connect it.

Two days of searching boil down to two suggestions:

    1. Install the latest drivers for the wireless NIC.

    2. In Device Manager properties for the wireless adapters, uncheck "Allow the compter to turn off this device to save power" box on the Power Management tab.

I've done both, no help. Even checked the drivers at the Intel site, they are older both by version and date than the Dell drivers.

In addition, I went into Power Options, Wireless Adapter Settings, and set the Plugged in setting for Power Saving Mode to Maximum Performance.

I have an L702x(XPS-17) with the Advanced N-6230, but this seems to be an equal opportunity problem that affects many brands and models.
