Ok, so I currently have a XPS M1330 which I purchased almost 2 years ago and the complete care is about to run out. I'm debating as to whether to upgrade the complete care again for another 3 years for about $325, OR save that money, sell the laptop and get a whole new laptop all together.

I'm trying to view it from the standpoints that, if I upgrade the complete care warranty, I'll have peace of mind for 3 years and it looks like they've phased out the M1330 so if something were to happen it would probably be replaced with the Studio line anyway. OR I could save at least $700 by not extending the warranty and upgrade to a new laptop with much better specs altogether.

So, what are your thoughts? Has anyone else have/had this dilemma, and what did/would you do? :confused2:
    Thanks!

If it helps, I've already had the motherboard replaced, hard drive went kaput, and the video card has crapped out on me twice!!

The M1330 is an end-of-life model; they're not making any more and they're trying to get rid of whatever's left. If you get a system replacement under warranty when they're out of the parts you need, the logical replacement is a Studio XPS 13; the Studio XPS series is the closest thing to a direct continuation of the XPS line, other than Alienware (but AW doesn't have a 13" model).

I've heard that the SXPS 13 line has its own (different) set of issues with regards to overheating.
