I recently bought the Targus "Zip-Thru" Laptop backpack and the SXPS 1640 fits rather snug, which is good...no unneccesary jossling around. It has a zipper that separates the bag in such a way that you can run the whole thing through airport security without having to take the laptop out of the bag, which is nice for all of us anal about getting scratches on the laptop. :) Another plus is that i can pack my laptop inside of the nice dustbag you get with the laptop from Dell AND still fit it in the backpack.

It was somewhere around $60, but it's got enough pockets for everything you need to carry for the laptop and has nice back pads and straps. Oh yeah, to answer your question, always look for bags that accomodate 16" and above. I doubt a 15.4" bag would be big enough.
