Does anyone know what the battery life difference would be in having the integrated X3100 vs. the dedicated 8400GS?

I've heard 30-45 min, but depends if you get the 6 cell or 9 cell battery. I don't game so I go tthe X3100 for the extra battery life.

X3100 for better battery life, 8400GS is for some small gaming, but not much. 8400GS drains a bit more battery life too.

Go with the 8400gs the xtra 30 mins of battery life lost is WELL worth the upgrade in graphics performance for anything. The x3100 is integrated and to be honest is crap.

If you don't game then the X3100 is just fine. I bought my 1330 for portability, so I want battery life (without the huge bulky 9 cell battery). I got the LED screen to save weight and battery and the X3100 to save battery. It does 1920x1080p over HDMI to an extrernal screen no problem. Good enough for me.The only thing is that it's VGA output to external screen is not great quality but I don't need that.

you should get x3100 if youre concerned about battery life as long as you dont care about playing any games from the past year or two

8400M GS is better for HD video than X3100 ;).
