Well it's been 6 months and my M1330 with the X9000 CPU is still going strong. Intel graphics, OCZ Summit SSD w/TRIM and a Toshiba LED has me getting very close to 3 hours on a 6 cell battery. The CPU/GPU temps are monitored by I8KFANGUI and even under load (no gaming) the CPU never goes above 60c. I'm not worried about the GPU but it has never gone above 45c.

glad to hear that everything is going well. I just upgraded m1530 with intel ssd and x9000. I am very impressed with the ssd over the wd scorpion 320 gb. I was hesitant about the x9000 because of heating issues, but like you, i do not game and never had an issue with heat. Mine is 2 years old and runs like it was new.

Congrats awesome but gaming is so much more fun, you might as well purchase a m1730.
