I know there is close to a million threads posted about this issue but I have searched them and, as of yet, nothing has worked. Besides, it seems that the fix varies based opon the specific laptop. I have an m1530 that came with vista and runs a self-installed XP-home as well. In vista, everything is fine but with XP when I shut the laptop and open it back up I am brought to a black screen and can not reboot the OS without shutting down the computer. I've tried going into hibernation but I have the same problem, I'm up to date on windows updates and Dell only supports the OS provided with the computer. What can I do? Thanks!
