XPS 13 is nowhere to be found at Dell USA

    Was it discontinued?

BTW bought a XPS 16 at Dell outlet (for $700 otd, P7450, Radeon 3670,4GB, 320GB, 1600X900) and LOVE it

looks that way, you can still find it on dell's USA business site, but not on home site. I hope they are working on a better model. Since studio 14 can carry new i5 processor, and 512mb ati card, I hope the new 13 inch series will be on par or better!

improvements I want to see, better speakers, audio jacks moved from front to side, so that when I plug in home speakers the cables arent annoyingly displayed in front of the system, better screen resolution, better SINGLE gpu, new i series processors. better cooling design. Would be great to see a new case design. O bette wifi card!!! I hate the fact that nvidia chip doesnt let use of best intel wifi cards... so dump nvidia, use intel chips with ati graphics!

Well the XPS 13 runs hot enough as is, I really hope they don't put in an i5 and a more powerful graphics card.

many companies made it work with ease. even dell's studio 14 carries i5 with ati card.

To simply put it this way! xps 1340 cooling design sucks... its not a very thin laptop it starts from thin and moves to very thing as you go to the back of the laptop.. It has enough room for better cooling! studio laptops have vents on the side! xps 1430 has 50% of the vent blocked. simply put separate cooling for cpu and gpu and make a different vent design, then its all good! we can get rid of the xpress slot that only a few people use and the slot is getting outdated

I think it would be difficult to improve the resolution on such a small display. I already have to squint on my WLED screen.

Damn why must it be outdated, what is the studio going to have graphics wise? I have a 1340 man it destroys your lap when just surfing the net lol.

The display is fine, its just the edge to edge gets annoying after a while.
