I received my XPS 13 (2015) a few days ago and noticed that it just started making a cracking sound when opening/closing the lid. I'm not exactly sure where it's coming from. Is anyone else experiencing this?

No odd sounds here, or in any others I've tried. It's probably stating the obvious, but you should consider getting Dell to set up a service call. It could be the hinge, or it could be somewhere in the lid if it's flexing enough. Screen/hinge replacement is fairly non-invasive on this unit.

Thanks for the reply, I've requested a replacement so hopefully that one doesn't have the same issue. I guess I just received a lemon as far as build quality goes.
