So Dell is supposed to update the XPS 13 9350 line with a new high-end model with Iris Graphics (Intel HD 540) next week. Any thoughts on whether or not this is a worthwhile upgrade?

It's about a 50% boost over Intel HD 520. About the ballpark of a Geforce 940M, or the custom dGPU in the Surface Book.

Is it worth it? Well, if you need an XPS 13, of course get the newer model with Iris graphics.

But would it be worth selling am existing XPS 13 to buy the newer model? Between depreciation, eBay fees, etc, expect to lose about $300 in the transaction. Would you pay $300 for a Geforce 940M?

A Geforce 940M with Intel's horrible drivers, which is not something you want to forget about because compatibility still isn't as good as either Nvidia or AMD. It's a bit more powerful, sure, but it doesn't transform it into a gaming notebook.

It has already been in various places in EU - e.g. you can order it with the new 6560U processor (with iris) here in the UK.

Ah nice, just checked Dell poland and they have it up for sale, tempting. I was about to pull the trigger on the regular non iris model but decided to wait and looks like I got lucky. Question is, is the QHD+ screen worth 100 more bucks. hmm

I just ordered the XPS 13 with i7 6500U with FHD to have a better battery life 2 days ago...

I don't play, I'm just doing photo treatment with lightroom and I don't know if I should cancel mine and go for the 6560U... In term of battery life there would be a significant difference ??

Looks like its available on Dell's website (Work side only). You can take $100 off with SAVE100BIZ. Anyone know of other stackable or better coupons?

Also feel free to post any reviews here.

    Iris Pro is a beast!
I wished Dell put the quadcore Iris Pro version in XPS15 for the price they are asking.
Apple does that with their 15" MBP, for around the same prices as Dell. and it rocks and great value.
Apple simply is the top of game with laptop imo now.

You do realize that the 960m in the XPS is more than double the speed of the 540 iris right? We don't know how the 580 iris pro will perform, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it being near the levels of the 960m.
Don't get me wrong, I think iris is awesome for small laptops, but I'd rather have a mid-range GPU for gaming. I think the XPS13 is much more attractive now though.

Did you check to see if the wifi has been upgraded?

How are you finding this laptop?
