    Hi,

    Is there any info out there, even just a rough estimate of timeframe regarding a refresh of these machines?

    I have been offered an XPS 13 from work either right now, or when Haswell refresh occurs... which could be months i guess?

    Should i take it, or wait?

    Refresh should not be too far but there is nothing official.

    And, no, don't wait. Don't do the waiting game or you might as well not buy anything.

    i'm not buying anything i'm being given it from work which as we all know will mean i have about a billion years to go until the next upgrade :D

    If it were my own machine, i would not wait...

    I have been looking at the XPS 13 and the two primary concerns I have seen are regarding heat (laptop running too hot) and battery life. The upgrade to Haswell should help with both of those.

    because given the fact my current machine is over 5 years old, it might be 5 years until my next upgrade...
