So I just reformatted my XPS 13 and my external monitor isn't working. I used the latest graphics drivers from dell and I am setting it up the same way I did through before the wipe (using NVidia Control Panel) and when it goes to switch to the dual monitor, the info on the monitor goes from "no signal" to "not support". Nothing has changed except the wipe. Any ideas?

FYI - When I make the switch, my laptop monitor flips to the secondary mode, it just never sends it to the external monitor as primary.

It may sound silly, but check the actual monitor settings. Maybe it switched to another input, like digital, or analog, or hdmi.

Tried that. It is connected to HDMI which is the input/output I'm using.

And if you press the displaybuton twice, laptop still as secondary then?
Try to make a custom resolution in the nvidia panel, or reinstall the drivers again.

So I reinstalled the latest drivers from dell's website and now my laptop monitor turns black when I plug it in and the external still won't get any information. Any advise?
