Honestly, both CPUs are in a dead hear with each other. The Core i7 5500u has slightly better specs on paper in some inconsequential areas. Real world CPY and GPU performance will be identical.

So.... It doesn't really matter. They perform identically. Buy whichever one is cheaper.

it is a matter of less than 15cad...

I'm tempted to go with the newer model i5 since it comes with win10 already and it is a gen 6th after all. for what its worth...

    thanks!

I would recommend 6th i5, cause with the help of 14nm technique 6th cpu has a less consumption than 4th, and I think on a ultrabook, the most important thing is its battery life.

Actually I am waiting for the 6th gen version, because i've read somewhere that dell has fixed the touchpad issues, where the touchpad tends to slide sometimes, can anyone confirm this?
also does anyone know the price difference between the 5th gen and the 6th gen?
