So I found a Dell driver that allows me to turn off the adaptive brightness settings for my XPS 13 9350 QHD model. When I ran it, the screen went full brightness (I lost control of changing the brightness) and a installation began (said changing the code in the ROM). The installation failed, but I remained with a 100% brightness screen without control over it. I decided to try booting into safe mode, but once it shut down, it wouldn't restart. I get two amber flashes and seven white ones - which means an issue with the LCD. I'm wondering if it's still possible to connect and boot this laptop to an external monitor and then try changing the adaptive brightness thing to another version of it. Or if anyone knows how else I could revert that adaptive brightness change in order to get the LCD functioning again.

Tdlr: did what this guy did, but rebooted instead of doing the fourth post in that thread. Now trying to get back access to the computer via an external monitor to try what that guy did in his fourth post.
