Dell does not ship a Windows (7) restore system disk. I have used such a disk in the past for certain lockups and wonder if it's on my computer and I don't know where? Or can I create it when the replacement external DVD burner arrives (the one they shipped was a dud and kept ejecting disks within seconds. After all of their testing - thank goodness remotely - they are sending a new one) I printed something about using Dell Datasafe local backup to create a recovery disk. Is this the same as have an operating system CD?

Sorry if this has been discussed already. I'm lost in Windows 7 and haven't had anew computer in a few years. Thanks....
