If it originally shipped with a PA-10, any other PA-10 should work, in theory (unless you've got one of those octagonal ones; I don't know how those work). Assuming you bought a genuine Dell adapter, you may have just gotten a dud, or your laptop is developing some hardware problem. If your original adapter still works, it's probably an issue with the new adapter...

My m1330 came with the octagonal one. But I'm able to use the it with all of the other AC Adapters for Dell at work (D820, D620 & D410). It also works with Kensington 120W Wall/Auto/Air with N29 tip (I use this one when I travel).

However, the octagonal DOES NOT work with other Dell. I found out the hard way.

Possibly you'll need to buy another octagonal one, then? I dunno why they did that octagonal thing; I think it had something to with people getting shocked with the two-pronged adapters. If it works with the Kensington, why bother buying yet another one?

Mine is octagonal as well, but the regular circular ones work fine. PA-10 and 12

Yeah, the PA-12 works fine with both my 1330's. Buy only Dell adapters and not the knock off's

    Hi-
I am completely new to this forum thing, but this topic came up in a search for my dell laptop AC adapter power cord and i need help and cant find it anywhere else. I need part #Dell Part Numbers DA65NS4-00, but mine is octagon shape and the only one i can find in the US is circular. If you could please point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.
