    Hello, everybody!

There was a discussion on this subject before but I can't find it. Currently I own XPS 1330 with nVidia GPU and LED screen. My GPU died a while ago, was replaced. After that I applied copper mod. But it will die some time in future again. So I'm thinking to replace my mobo with one that has integrated GPU. It is possible?

    Vitaliy.

You should be able to install the IGP motherboard without a problem. All the connectors and such should fit without any modification. I can't imagine Dell using different parts other than the mobo in the dedicated and IGP versions of the M1330.

You will have to get a new mobo. If it dies again remove the copper mod and tell dell you want a mobo with integrated graphics.

Where can't you configure an M1330 with an LED display and an IGP? I just checked the Dell site and it works fine?

JAV1563, mine was bought in feb 08. Mobo was replaced in dec 08. It was an A01 revision and I don't know what revision they've put inside. Some say about different GPU editions (some numbers on a chips differs), but they die the same way. Where have you found info about fixes?

JAV1563, I would be only glad to have it fixed. But I'm not sure as there is no proff whether I received one with a new soldier or with an old one. And I don't have any will to check it with temperature. But thanks, I'll try to find some more info.
